seminar training
What you really need to know is to get some training under your belt. Without the how to do this and that you won’t be able to maintain any business long enough to earn any money. The experts like Paul Cooligan is on our faculty. He teaches about affiliate marketing in simple easy to follow steps. But the best thing for you is that he practices what he teaches. conference video
As we’ve shared above the models for doing this are broken down into three areas.

1. Selling products. The beauty of this is that you can just sell your products exclusively. But first you have to learn how to make what people want to buy. This should be your focus. Why not make what people are willing to buy and to prove that because they are already buying them just not from you. This model is successful in the offline and the online world. Offer folks a better product. make it easier to use and function and you’ve got a winner.

2. Adsense programs. These programs pay you a few cents to dollars per click that visitors on your website generate. It is really that simple of a model.

3. Affiliate products. This really is akin to number one in that you can focus on just selling other folks products to your customers. You don’t have to own a website or create products - just sell.

Everyone of these has advantages and drawbacks but it just depends on what you like to do. To learn what to do be sure to check out the free conference seminar videos and a world of opportunity will open up for you.

Find Helpful Tips About Starting Catering Business And Food Cost

Thursday, January 29th, 2009

What is food cost and how does it effect your venture? Food cost percent is the percentage amount of total food purchases in contrast to the amount of revenue generated.

An example:
You are proposing Chicken Picatta for a menu price of ten dollars, and the ingredients cost you two dollars and fifty cents. To form your food cost percent you would simply take cost of food divided by menu price equals food cost percent. In this example, you would take $2.50 divide by $10.00= .25 or 25 percent.

Now what does this mean when your starting your own catering business. In general in the world of catering most menus are sold as groups. A dinner menu would contain a salad, starch, vegetable, and dessert to compliment the entree. So you would have to add up all your costs and divide by the given menu price.

Having a good understanding of food cost will help you determine your menu pricing and make sure your business is profitable, specifically in respect to helping you determine menu costs. Ideally, food cost percent would be 20 to 25 percent. Of course this also depends on what you are serving and what you can charge for it. An example would be a Tenderloin, it might cost you $15.00. You can sell it for $45.00. Your food cost would be 33 percent, but your making $30.00 a plate. Going back to the
original Chicken Picatta example, you were making $7.50 per cover. That is awesome, but I’ll take the $30.00 per cover and higher food cost any day of the week.

You do want to push your product for the highest margin possible. When determining menu price, you must also consider what the competition is charging. You don’t necessarily need to be the cheapest, but you must be able to justify the charge. I would also suggest implementing a service charge, they are typically 17-20%. This will help equalize vehicle maintenance costs, rental, etc, and you will have some left over to put in your pocket.

Knowing your food cost will help you manage your business. It effects your bottom line remarkably. As an example, you are averaging one thousand people per week. If your food cost is 25% of your money out, it would be two thousand five hundred dollars. If your food cost is 30% of your purchases, it would be three thousand dollars. The profit is five hundred dollars per week. That’s a twenty six thousand dollars per year profit. If you are just starting off, you’re probably not going to do those covers to begin with. Just remember, starting off with good routines will stay with you for the duration of your business.

Remember, you do want to have fun with starting your own home catering business but your primary motivation must be to make money. If you are money motivated, then starting a catering business is for you. Work smart, work hard, and profit well.

Corporate Change - Why Planning Is Important

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

One of the pieces of engineered organizational change is Planning. Corporate is dead in the water without it. This would be tantamount to trying to set up a new play without offering a rehearsal schedule. If this were happening in business, it would be like scheduling meetings but expecting people to receive the information telepathically. Even if the corporate change is supposed to be secret, there has to be information sharing with the people who are expected to do it.

Acknowledging the little wins during times of corporate change can be a way to renew purpose and belonging. Effective corporate change requires effective planning. It is best achieved through a master implementation schedule, individual implementation assignments, and regular meetings for project review. The use of solid planning can facilitate corporate change.

Organisation Change - PET As An Important Tool

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

In the organisation change process Plant, Equipment and Tools are subject to change. This is an area that is consistently forgotten during the process of organisation change.

If a theater group is transitioning from a Shakespeare drama to a musical comedy the set and costuming are going to have to change. When processes change, as they inevitably do in an organisation, the PET must change. Ironically, while actors are not expected to go without PET changes, workers in business settings frequently are expected to do so. In business, organisation change is expected to work successfully under conditions no theater company would accept. Big or small, the required changes have to found, instituted and analyzed.

Business Change Management - Forums In Change

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

Properly used, forums can be a method for corporations to streamline business change management. Most businesses do not have a change forum and, instead, lump it into a forum devoted to run the business. The normal result is that topics on changing the business get shelved in favor of the business at hand. A retreat can be a useful forum setting, from time to time, but for real business change management work to occur it cannot be the only setting. The informality of retreats can be a good change of pace, but it can send a message of disregard about change management.

If the CEO cannot be bothered to attend the business change management forum but always attends the run the business forum, no one else is going to take it seriously.. It creates an situation in which the administration of change and the running of business are not a constant battle. Lastly, it shows that both running the business and business change management represent have genuine value at the executive level.

Implementing Change: Maintaining Management Support When Implementing Change

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

Implementing change in a company is done by focusing on the change team. All members of the team need to be accomplishing their tasks and achieving their goals for the change initiative to be a success. But sometimes, because the focus is too much on the change team, not a lot of focus is given into maintaining executive support. This is quite common and very regrettable since the higher management should be on the forefront of the whole change process. The question becomes, how can executive support be maintained during the process of implementing change?

Normally, in an organization, monthly meetings are held to discuss running the business issues. A good company policy like this is a great way of handling issues and keep the business from falling apart. The same mindset needs to be imported when it comes to implementing change. There should be regularly scheduled meetings devoted to changing the business.

An efficient way of handling this is to set aside a meeting composed of two sessions. One session will be for discussing issues about running the business, and the other is for business change issues. This gives a dual purpose. First, it drives the current needs of the business to the back of the executives’ minds. Second, the break that separates the two sessions, is a good time for the executives to detach their minds off the topics discussed during the initial session.

The next session should focus mainly on business change. By devoting time specifically to change the business, it creates accountability at the executive level for implementing change. If a roomful of execs are incapable of describing, at least in broad strokes, where the current change initiatives are, it is a signal that insufficient time is being devoted to those projects. Setting aside special meetings will allow the executive team to become and remain engaged with those projects, thus, maintaining executive support.

Understanding How Modelling Your Business Results In More Success

Monday, January 26th, 2009

Business coaches and NLP practitioners will be acutely aware of the powerful gains that a concept known as ‘modelling’ can bring to both individuals and businesses, and it is a method widely employed by many successful entrepreneurs.

It is based on the premises of ‘if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it’ and ‘there is no point in trying to reinvent the wheel’. However, before exploring the concept of modelling, you may be interested to know a little bit about the origins of NLP, which underpins the concept.

Neuro Linguistic Programming, or NLP as it is widely known, is a way of studying and understanding how we accomplish and do the things that we do. Through the tried and tested models, tools and techniques of NLP we can find a unique way of defining and achieving our goals.

NLP came about during the 1970, and is based on the work of John Grindler, Richard Bandler. What they were passionate about was how great people used mind, body and language to achieve great results. It is based on the fundementa that the mind, body and language we use, interact to guide and direct our behaviour. NLP can be broken down into it’s component parts:

Neuro – the processing of the information that we experience with: sight, touch, sound, smell and taste.

Linguistic – the use of language to appreciate world.

Programming – the way in which we mentally encode information based on experience; and how this influences our behaviours.

NLP suggests that if we can understand how great people achieve the results they do, then we should all be able to reproduce them and considers that if one person can achieve something, then potentially anyone can achieve the same thing.

NLP is a wonderfully powerful and applied approach to enable people a way to find solutions and move forward in a positive and progressive way. There are many areas that it covers and a whole range of simple and useful techniques.

Unfortunately, most of NLP is beyond the scope of this article and something you may wish to look atexplore more yourself.

However, what we will be looking at is one of the most useful and key features of NLP, ‘modelling’ and how we can model our behaviours and beliefs of those who have achieved excellence so we can achieve excellence ourselves.

Modelling is concerned with the applied approach to developing the resources to replicate a desirable skill or behaviour possessed by another in order to put it to practical use ourselves.

This is a very good business model to employ, because if you can find a business or business person who is achieving and doing so well in areas that you also wish to perform well in, then the ideal of modelling is to learn of to replicate this.

How it works is that it maximises on our ability to learn as we did as a child, and during when there was no rationalization or conscious intervention to limit our learning. Very often as adults we do not learn as well as we could or do not explore the things that would help us to learn through a trial and error basis because we stop to think and rationalize about it. Consequently, we limit our own ability to learn from others, to grow and to achieve the same things that other achieve.

Modelling is all about learning how to learn as a child, where innocence made anything seem possible and we placed few, if any limitations on ourselves. It involves a process where we permit our unconscious resources to become tuned in to others we are modelling and willing to model everything about their behaviour and thinking that enables them to do what they do so well.

With practice and once mastered, modelling can be a very powerful tool to achieving excellence and recognizing the concept that if one person can do something, then potentially anyone can.

This article is written by J Keightley who is a professional life coaching specialist and ecommerce business owner of Giggleberries Mens Underwear, it discusses the benefits that NLP Modelling can bring to your business.

Business Secrets.

Monday, January 26th, 2009

Entrepreneur’s have secrets.

These secrets aren’t hidden remote gems. If you find something that works, or someone has found something that works for them, it is not uncommon for them to call it a secret. More times that not a secret is nothing more than having just perfected some habits or maybe even something they stumbled on accidentally which led them to be successful.

One of the secrets of successful people in business is the thoughtful life. Every story of success started with a dream of doing something larger than the life they had before. Start your journey to success by beginning your dream. Winning entrepreneurs have the confidence and frame of mind that allows them to imagine how to achieve their goals successfully.

Another essential ingredient for achieving success as an entrepreneur is passion. A focused personal passion is demanded in order to change your life and career into the things you desire them to be. Passion drives one past all problems and seeks to achieve that which others call impossible.

Every successful business person puts their time and energy into their strengths, not their weaknesses. You can’t help everybody. Although each of us possesses strong points as well as flaws, you need to ascertain your strong points and focus on them in order to succeed. Those who succeed in the business world manage to transform their weaknesses into strengths by getting educated.
A successful entrepreneur will not believe in failure. A person of vision finds nothing impossible. Thriving entrepreneurs make sure to evaluate and seek the lowest risk while pursuing increased revenues.

It is the laser like intensity of focus for which targeted efforts yield rewards.

Developing Mind Grabbing Ad Copy In Website Promotions To Increase Targeted Visitors

Monday, January 26th, 2009

Developing mind grabbing ad copy in website promotions to increase targeted traffic is the one internet marketing skill that you don’t want to neglect.

Website promotion and copywriting go hand in hand when your working to build your online business.

One without the other won’t get you very far.

Getting your message across whether in a small classified ad or on a full webpage requires several specific points, or requirements, to be met if you want it to be effective website promotion and get people to respond to it.

(1) Make it LASER TARGETED. Be specific. Painting a broad brush stroke type of ad will not get you the response you’re after. What you want to do is get the folks who are very interested in what you have to offer, to click through to the splash, info or sales page.

(2) MIND CATCHING Headline. The single most important sentence for your ad. If you can’t capture your readers attention on the first line they’ll never read the rest of your ad. How can you do this? Create curiosity that compels the viewer to read on.

(3) Tell the person about the BENEFITS. What’s in it for him/her. Is it going to solve their problem. One of the main reasons people search for a product, service or knowledge is that they have a problem that needs to be solved and they can not seem to come up with a viable solution on their own.

The key to helping them to decide on your product or service is to write as if you’re talking directly to only one person because in fact you’re only trying to get the attention of one person at a time no matter what form of mass communication you’re using.

(4) Always take the time to build in some security into your ad copy. What I mean by this is that you should always include a guarantee for your product to work or a return policy that tells the buyer, “Hey you are safe with me when you buy this product”.

If you want to get the most from your ad you should always try to make the reader feel that they can easily use your product after they get it. If you say it can be difficult or hard you’ll lose a lot of people.

People want to avoid pain or loss and/or feel like they have gained what they want or have gotten closer to achieving something by using your product. If you can satisfy that need to avoid a loss or have the person feel like they have gained something of real value you will have done your job at writing effective ad copy for your website.

Remember one thing - your ad is designed to do only one thing - convince the reader to take action and click on the link you’ve provided so they can learn more.

If you use the formula above you’ll surely get more potential click throughs and sales.
